DeviantART is proud to announce our Premium Content Platform — providing the ability for content creators to become sellers and generate earnings by making digital files of their high-quality work available for download. The Premium Content Platform allows deviants to buy and sell digital goods for immediate download and use. Sellers are able to charge a little and sell a lot, and take advantage of the easy-to-use Points currency for digital downloads. Winter Alliance Contest!
 Greetings, fair Allies! It is my pleasure to announce the Winter Alliance Contest!

What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant Complaint Challenge I thought I would try to do something about that. And so the Alliance was born

Submit Your News to CRLiterature! by thorns, journal
Submit Your News to CRLiterature!
Now you can submit your literature community news directly to CRLiterature (https://www.deviantart.com/crliterature)'s journal! We're super excited about this because it allows us to streamline our news. Time-sensitive activities are less likely to fall through the cracks, and deviants will have to click through less stuff to find your news. Your article will go directly to watcher and member inboxes allowing them to see the headline and description.
As a hub this is a great step in the right direction. Watchers will have an easier time discovering news, activities, and events outside of their watch list. Instead of figuring out if you're watching all the right people and hunti
I am proud to be exclusively a literature artist. I really don't know how to do anything else. Here on DA, Literature is not necessarily under appreciated by most of the people in the community, it is just widely ignored. I think, really, many of us are completely okay with that. For the most part, we aren't here for popularity.
We are here for each other. We don't have thousands of followers. We don't have millions of faves. But for the most part, we have been able to find other artists that help us to refine our art. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I truly cannot express the appreciation and love that I have for my frie

Cups, clasps and Chinese boob vibrators.
UPDATE: The wonderful folks at H.A.L Publishing have featured a short sci-fi piece by yours truly on proverbs, puberty and passing exams. It's called Mo Chu Cheng Zhen (To Grind An Iron Rod Into A Needle) and your comments would be most appreciated. In my rampant gratitude, I may even get the next transliterations (https://www.deviantart.com/transliterations) prompt up this weekend!
Dear everyone,
Apologies for my extended absence. I'm extremely focused on my translation and writing work right now, and the deadlines are overwhelming. I'm more active at Metre Maids, and a little less at my own blog The Duck Opera, but mostly I'm hunched over a computer screen at two in the morning,

The Village Bicycle Project
Pet projects. Groups, prompts, contests, news serials. We all have them, whether it be one, or two, or ten if we've got a premium membership and a largesse of time. We start them for various reasons: to make a change for the better, to provide an opportunity that wasn't there before, or simply to make our mark on this wide and diverse community. Of course, it wasn't always like this. When I was first kicking around deviantART, News was still in beta (heck, beta-testing was still in beta) and Groups were nothing more than a glint in the ninja milkman's eye. What few projects there were were run out of the forums, i
