I am considering opening up commissions. I am trained as an editor and am willing to go over people's work. I can do both fiction and non fiction. If you have any fanfiction, we can discuss the work, but I reserve the right to add fees for fandoms I am not familiar with and would have to research.

My prices will be (per page):

$2 for basic grammar and spelling
$5 for plot holes and word choice
$10 for line edits

If you are interested please contact me. And if you can please spread the word of my commissions I would be very grateful. These commissions are going towards paying for my GRE test and my graduate school applications.

Sigh life just has a way of trying to confuse the mess out of you. I'm not sure if I have mentioned it before, but I am graduating from college come May. This means that this is the semester I would be applying to grad schools if I want to go straight after college. The problem is, I can't decide if that is what I want to do.

I know to most jobs a BA is not worth much now. But the publishing industry does't look at that much until you get to the really higher up jobs in the larger houses. This makes me really unsure on if I should spend time trying to get the degree or not.

If I get the job I really want with the house I am interning for, then I could theoretically do both without travel problems. But if I don't get that job, I will either focus solely on job hunting or solely on school.

It's already the end of September, so I need to make this decision fast. I still need to take my GREs (well get the money to pay for taking the GREs) and apply to schools (along with finding the money to pay for applications).

I already know where I want to apply, it's just the decision of doing it or not. I even have some recommendation letters lined up.

Is it considered unprofessional if I ask my boss her opinion of higher degrees in the field?

I am back, but only a little bit. It took me a few weeks to get in the hang of this semester and my internship. I am still not able to do everything that I usually try to be up to here.

As much as  love beta reading on here, I don't have much time for it still. My internship is with Musa Publishing (the Euterpe imprint) and they are training me in editing and acquisitions, so I am almost always reading submissions and things for them. That means my little bit of free time is spent on them.

Sorry, but there will probably not be any writing from me until NaNoWriMo. I am trying like hell to get ahead in all of my school readings so that I will have time to participate.

Speaking of which, I am still trying to decide what to work on for that.

1. I have a futuristic steampunk/neo-victorian, military idea that notes have been on my hard drive forever.

2. A Harlequin type romance I have notes for

3. A modern spy novel idea that's been bouncing around my head.

4. A Victorian spy novel idea that's been bouncing around my head.

All of the ideas feature a strong heroine (I just can't seem to get ideas for male leads). Anyone have any votes of which I should do? Maybe I will make a poll.

Hopefully by the end of the semester I will be back in full swing. I don't plan on taking as many reading intensive classes next semester.

I must say it is good to be back.

This is a quick note to tell anyone that I am going on a hiatus. You could probably tell that already. I'm in my second week of school and already falling behind. I just don't have time to be on here. I am sorry for anyone I owe anything to. I just can't. I honestly didn't think this semester would be so hard. I have to read about 25 novels and balance an internship and write papers for five classes and I just don't have much free time. Hopefully I will be back soon.

Until Next Time!

I'm Back

I landed a few hours ago and am now home. According to my body it is almost 5 AM even though the time here is only 10:30 at night. The plane ride wasn't too bad. Last night I shared a room with a friend and he was talking about how much he writes and he doesn't even want to do it professionally. That made me jealous so I got the urge to write. It wasn't much, but a lot more than I have done lately. I have the first 1000 words for MidtownMagic's current theme. I like what is happening so far and look forward to finishing it. I also decided to try my hand at some fanfiction. I have the plans for two Sherlock fics, a Harry Potter one and a Doctor Who one. I probably won't post those here though. I would prefer keeping just my original fiction on here. I think me being so tired is causing me to babble a little, so I'm going to go to bed now.
